“My works revise the existing relationships between body and space, tension and movement, through series that attempt to investigate and explore the space in painting.
The paintings, installations and textiles I build capture the architectural space, making a parody of its coordinates, retracing boundaries and limits, creating tensions in whomever transits them.
The urban references, are, in my understanding, a canvas in which a pictures are painted, one of top of the other. A polyphonic voice, where texts are written about us, inextricable in shapes, unthinkable one without the other.
There’s body, plot, volume, movement, text, smell, color, history, experiences.
I propose a distance between what the eye can see and what is never seen. An abstraction that the body can’t understand separated of its environment, of its individual and collective experience.
A memory of what is seen”
